USAIN BOLT: THE LEGEND LEAVES HIS STAMP ON THE TRACKS
“I don’t need to prove anything else,” Bolt said. “What else can I do to prove to the world I am the greatest?” Yes, true. Winning in all the disciplines he took part in three Olympics in a row will be a feat unmatched in sporting history. After winning the 200 meters sprint, he has just one last medal to add to his flawless career - the 4X100 relay, which baring unforeseen circumstances Jamaica will win.The 200 meters win at Rio was his 8th medal and he completed the race in 19.79 secs, which wasn't great by his standards but well ahead of Andre De Grasse (20.02) of Canada and surprise bronze medalist Christophe Lemaitre (20.12) of France.
This will probably be the last we will see of this all-time great athlete and his trademark gestures of forefinger pointed towards the heavens and wide arms coming together to his lips. Whether he will be available for the 2017 IAAF World Championships at London will be a matter of some conjecture, but sponsors will be willing to pay him a great fortune to see him there, no doubt about that. The world can't get enough of this lanky Jamaican.
